Description:
At seventeen, Trinity McCabe has already made enough mistakes to fill a lifetime. Especially the one where she got high, drove a car, and almost killed a dog. And then let her friend Aidan take the blame.
She’s clean now and desperate to fix the messes she’s made, but first she’s going to have to get out of her pajamas.
As Trinity struggles to stop sleepwalking through life, she faces the painful, tingling sensation of waking up. It’s sometimes embarrassing (she really didn’t want to have lunch with Aidan’s mom), sometimes terrifying (group therapy is beyond intimidating), and sometimes, amazingly enough, pretty romantic (who’d have though Aidan would be such a great kisser?)
Trin is lucky, though—luckier than she deserves, she’s sure—and she doesn’t travel this road alone. Her family, her therapist, and her new friends are all pulling for her. And it turns out, some of them have made pretty big mistakes, too.
But before she can embrace her new life completely, Trinity has to be forgiven by the one person who is holding out the hardest: herself. It’s not easy changing everything, especially when you don’t think you deserve a second chance. Trinity might make an even bigger mess of things before she figures that out.
When the smoke clears on her latest disaster, will anyone still be standing there?
Review:
I couldn't help but when seeing this blog tour and this cover to pick this up and have to read it. And I'm so glad I did. This really turned out to be a good book. It really has a great moral to the story, that you have to forgive yourself before you can fully move on with your life and let other people in.
Trinity is just back from a mini vacation ( aka rehab but not in the official capacity, more like her uncle's house) which she went to after the accident that she caused and got Aidan put in handcuffs and sent to Juvy. Trinity was your typical party girl - drugs, alcohol, sex, and not knowing what she was doing and who she was hurting. All this finally closed in on her the day of the accident, she had finally hit rock bottom and was ready for a change. Aidan was the same way but Trinity just didn't really think about it much. When she came back she had to see him and when she did he was so open and out there. She still couldn't open up to anyone especially about that night.
Their relationship got closer than expected, especially against their parents better wishes as they all obviously feel that they are a bad influence on each other. But Trinity is trying to change and she thought Aidan was too. Trinity was seeing a therapist who would give her homework to do, which she took very seriously. She always accomplished the homework and felt better because of it. She even got a friend out of it, Ruth. Who is just unexpected as in you really shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
Throughout the book you can see the back and forth relationship of Trinity and Aidan grow, then get pulled back by events that they can't overcome and misunderstandings that the other doesn't bother to verify. In the end everything I believe worked out the way it should have. It really was a great book. I sympathised for Trinity (not because I myself was a party girl) but I understand how hard it is for people to accept you have changed and to learn to trust people again. With the help of good family and friends (or just people who care about you in general) you can succeed and let's not forget the help of Kali the goddess of Gentle Mother/Fierce Warrior.
Here's your chance to win your own e-book copy of Forgiving Trinity. Open to all, no requirements. Make sure you check out the other blog tour stops to see what they have going on for Forgiving Trinity.

I'm the opposite of a party girl, but I get that sometimes when we make mistakes it's very hard to move forward... I hope I'll get to read this one soon, as I enjoyed Double Clutch and I'm interested to read more books by Liz Reinhardt...
