She can't stop thinking about him, but whenever she tries talking with him about the mysteries behind her feelings, he makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with her. Reaching him is even more difficult because she has a boyfriend, Jeremy, who has started to become full of himself after being elected co-captain of the varsity soccer team, and her flirtatious best friend Chelsea starts dating Drew soon after his arrival. So why can't she get him out of her mind?

Even though Lizzie knows she should let go of her fascination with Drew, fighting fate isn't going to be easy.

Review:
So I've been looking around the blog world and there's been tons of sites that feature this book and how the author is trying to get Taylor Swift to tweet about her book as it's based off of her music video. I thought that was a cool idea and there was so much hype that I just had to read the book. So I picked it up and I was not disappointed.

Lizzie is a junior in high school who is happy with her long time best friend Chelsea, and her equally long time boyfriend Jeremy. Everything is just right, that is until someone new comes to the school. Drew walks in and Lizzie gets a huge sense of Deja Vu. She feels as if she knows him from either before or in another life.

Drew senses the same thing although his memories of their past life has surfaced for a while now, even before he came to this small town in the middle of no where.  He knows that Lizzie is the one for him and that they are meant to be, fate bought them back together for a second chance.  But for the sake of not repeating history he gets together with her best friend Chelsea.  Which was NOT a good idea to begin with.  Because now not only are you breaking Lizzie's heart he is also stringing along Chelsea for no reason.

Lizzie and Jeremy break up eventually because she can't stop thinking about Drew and it doesn't help that her and Jeremy are completely growing apart.  They don't like the same things anymore and it just doesn't feel the same to her, but he is still in love with her till the very end.  Lizzie learns more about transcending time from Alastair who is the man that owns the shop she made her mask at, he says he's been waiting for just the right person for all the things he gives her.  There is a lot of mention of Pride and Prejudice in the book and he gives her original copies.  Lizzie compares herself to Elizabeth and Drew to Mr. Darcy in the books.  Everyone in her life resembles a different character in Pride and Prejudice.  (I'm telling you I just cannot get enough of that book)

After the Halloween party where Lizzie swears she danced with Drew even though he was supposedly out of town according to Chelsea she starts getting more and more flashbacks of her past life.  Of her experiences with Drew, but still she can't quite catch all of them.  Drew eventually breaks up with Chelsea because he can't stand not being with Lizzie anymore, he's tried but he can't live without her.  He believes that he can rewrite history and things will turn out the way the should have turned out the first time.

By the end of the book Chelsea is devastated, Jeremy is still in denial or just wants to be and Lizzie and Drew finally work through some things, but the story doesn't end here.  Now that history has been rewritten what's to happen next as there was no next in the past.

It's a very sweet love story between two people who transcend time to correct their mistakes and finally be together.  It was a good read, now I have to go in search for Vengeance by Michelle Madow, which a short story that bridges the gap between the first book and the final book.  It also continues the story with Chelsea as the main character, can't wait to check it out.  Make sure to check out the link below.  Very cool contest!
