MUSING MONDAYS… is a weekly event where MizB at Should be Reading will ask a book/reading-related question, and you answer with your own thoughts on the topic.
This week’s musing asks…
What do you do with the book before you start reading it?
I look at the front cover, the back cover. Read the blurb about it. Sometimes if I can't decide what to read next I'll have to look at the description online, then skim through some of the reviews because I don't like reading spoilers. They upset me because I want to find things out on my own. That's pretty much it really, then I just start reading and hopefully I'm into it enough to finish it quickly. So I can move on to the next one of my ever growing to be read pile.

Reading the back cover to know what its about mostly. I normally refrain from reviews because I'd like to read something first then find out if there are those who like it or don't.
Thanks for dropping by! :)
There are times when I won't even read the whole blurb because I think it's giving away too much information. And I never read an excerpt.
It really depends on the blurb/description of the book. I also try to read what others thought about the book. Thank you for dropping by earlier.
My answer is similar to yours, only I forgot to mention that I avoid spoilers.
My answer is similar to yours. I'm not much for spoilers for my books either.
