Resisting the Rebel
By: Lisa Brown Roberts
Release Date: July 25, 2016

Description:
Disclaimer: This book contains a villain pretending to be a hero, a hero pretending to be a villain, a disco-dancing heroine, two overprotective sidekicks, a little bit of bad language, and a whole lot of swoony kissing.
Spirit committee leader Mandy Pennington is secretly in love with her best friend, Gus, but when he hooks up with her archenemy at a party, she decides to win him over once and for all. She just doesn’t know how. But who better to help than hot loner Caleb Torrs?
Caleb’s got his own problems, but when he sees Mandy pining over Gus at a party, he thinks she’s finally smoked the spirit stick and lost her mind. Maybe he has, too, because he just asked Mandy to be his fake girlfriend. She’ll get her loser friend’s attention, and he’ll get his stalker ex off his back. It’s a win-win.
But soon one fake date blends into the next and before he knows it, he actually wants to kiss Mandy. For real. Too bad their plan is working, and Gus is finally noticing the one girl Caleb just might be falling for…

Review:
You ever read a story that left you all happy with goosies and all giggly inside, that’s what this book did for me.  It was absolutely adorable in so many ways.  A true Entangled Crush book!! Lisa Brown Roberts did an impressive job of giving me all the feels of high school again, but the good ones.  Love this book.

We meet Mandy who is definitely a girl who seems to dance to her own beat and then there is her polar opposite the loner brooder bad boy Caleb, the two of them couldn’t be more different.  But you know what they say, opposites really do attract.  The two of them kind of put themselves in the situation where they had to pretend to be dating to get other people to notice or back away.  Now you know this is always a recipe for disaster, or not depending on who it is.  The two of them together was adorable because they got each other in ways no one else did.

I loved all the interaction between Caleb and Mandy’s Posse and bonus that they started to involve him as well.  The characters in this book were wonderful, they all had really great morals and depended on one another.  Their friendships were original and loyal.  The storyline although it’s been done in the past, it’s the story getting to that great ending that you can’t help but enjoy and this book didn’t disappoint in the least bit.  Just a lot of feels and good times with these characters.

This was an overall great read, short and sweet and so definitely swoon-worthy in many places.  The characters were magnificent, the energy between Caleb and Mandy was contagious and now I feel like going out and doing the hustle.  The cover is adorable, not what I pictured Caleb to be but still very appropriate for the book, just needed that leather jacket to complete the look.
