Release Date: April 1, 2013
Series: Pushing the Limits 1.5

Description:
Katie McGarry captivated readers with her “riveting, emotional”* Young Adult debut, Pushing the Limits. In this gripping novella, she tells the story of Lila and Lincoln, who discover that sometimes it’s worth crossing the line for love…

Lila McCormick, Echo's best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

Review:

This was a cute story and just makes me love both this series and this author more.  I completely get the authors writing style and the characters she creates, I can feel their emotions coming off the pages.

In this Novella we explore more of Lila's life.  She is Echo's friend in the first book. She has been conversing with Lincoln, which is a fabulous name, through letters for about two years. They have shared so many feelings and personal things with each other that they were bound to fall for one another, but to each other they kept this a secret as they were only supposed to be friends. Then something happens and Lila is mad at him, this is when their long distance relationship becomes up close and personal.

He goes to Lila and they see each other again for only the second time, there are obvious sparks but they are still a little unsure about how the other person feels.  It’s cute and adorable to watch them both like each other but not realize that they like each other.  I enjoyed watching this new interaction with them, they are great characters and I completely wanted more from them.  I need an extended short story.

They had a few highs and lows and it was just too much fun to read. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, book 3.  Who knows maybe there will be another mini novella?  Again amazing characters, great author and unbelievably addicting names.  Book three I’m ready for you.
