The Secrets of Peaches
by Jodi Lynn Anderson
So here is the second book - and I'm totally ready to read the last book once I buy it of course. So this book continued the story of Birdie, Leeda and Murphy. Birdie discovers more about love and the love that is around her - also what's up with Poopie. Murphy finally comes to the realization that she is full of fear but she knows that she can overcome it. Leeda turns within herself and doesn't know how to handle everything other than to just push everyone out. But she will come to realize that in the end she really does need other people. I love this book it really does remind me of the The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants - or books along those subject lines.

Peaches

Peaches
by Jodi Lynn Anderson
This book is about three very different girls who find long lasting friendship between all three of them. There is the quiet one, the troublemaker and the prefect one, they all spend a summer working on a peach orchard. Helping each other through family issues, boy trouble, friendship problems. It's a really great read, so good that I went out and bought the second book today which I'm going to start right now, "The Secrets of Peaches".

The Pursuit of Happiness

The Pursuit of Happiness
by Tara Altebrando
This book is about a girl who is working through the summer at a reenactment type place of the colonial times. It just so happens that her mother dies at the beginning of a long journey of cancer and this book describes how everyone is affected by this even in different ways and how they deal with it. From a boyfriend who leaves her, to finding a friend in the least expected person, her father checking out, her best friend leaving her hanging. There are many great scenes in this book and I really didn't want it to end at all. The interaction between James and the main character were great. Many different topics in this book all a great read.

Cruel Summer

Cruel Summer
By Alyson Noel

This was actually a really fun read. It was told through a series of journal entries, emails, blogs, and letters. It's about a girl who's parents are getting a divorce so they ship her off to Greece for the summer. She is so upset because she didn't want to go anywhere especially since she just got into the "in" crowd. Well throughout her story she learns that mo matter what happens in her life some things are just not in her control and no matter what she will still be fine afterwards. It's a really great story and by the end I really couldn't put the book down I had to to is it before I left the house to go to a party, that's how much I wanted to finish the book.

Take Me There

Take Me There
by Susane Colasanti

This is the second book I've read written by this author and it wouldn't necessarily be the last either. It didn't hit me as much as the first probably because I felt there were many story plots going on at the same time that I just kept wanting to focus on only one of them. The book is told by three different perspectives in two different parts. It's a good read but I was hoping for a little more. It's hard to keep jumping from perspective to perspective but repeating the same scene over again, I like it to keep flowing and not going back to the beginning with another point of view. Don't get me wrong I liked the book but I like to go with the flow more continuous and not backtracking.
